1.1 This license governs the use of all content included in the Minecraft Server Backup Guide (“the Product”), including but not limited to: documentation, instructions, shell scripts, configuration files (e.g., “compose.yml”), images, diagrams, and example assets provided by the Manufacturer.
1.2 By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using the Product, you agree to be bound by the terms of this license agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, you are not permitted to use the Product.
1.3 This license applies exclusively to the purchaser whose name or email address is associated with the order.
§ 2 License Grant
2.1 The Manufacturer grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Product for your own Minecraft servers.
2.2 You may make a reasonable number of backup copies of the Product for archival and disaster recovery purposes. These copies remain subject to this license and may not be shared with third parties.
§ 3 Restrictions
3.1 Except as permitted by section 3.2, you may not publish, distribute, sublicense, sell, rent, host publicly, or otherwise make the Product or its contents available to third parties.
3.2 You may share the Product with members of your own Minecraft server management or development team when they need it to manage your servers. Each team member must agree to these license terms and may not use the Product for other servers or purposes.
3.3 You may not make any portion of the Product available in public repositories, websites, forums, or marketplaces, whether free or paid.
3.4 You may not use the Product to create derivative works intended for resale or redistribution.
3.5 You may modify the content (e.g., scripts or configurations) to suit your specific use case, but such modifications remain subject to this license and may not be shared externally.
§ 4 Copyright and Ownership
4.1 All rights, title, and interest in and to the Product remain with the Manufacturer. Purchasing a license does not grant you ownership of the Product or any intellectual property rights contained therein.
4.2 You may not remove, obscure, or alter copyright notices or licensing information included with the Product.
§ 5 Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
5.1 The Product is provided “as is” without a warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Manufacturer disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
5.2 Nothing in this license limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or liability under mandatory statutory provisions.
5.3 In cases of slight negligence involving an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of agreement. An essential contractual obligation is one whose performance is necessary for the proper execution of the agreement and on whose performance the purchaser may regularly rely.
5.4 The technical instructions do not replace the purchaser's responsibility to test backups, restores, credentials, retention settings, and changes in a safe environment before production use.
§ 6 Termination
6.1 This license is automatically terminated if you violate any of its terms.
6.2 Upon termination, you must immediately cease use of the Product and destroy all copies in your possession.
§ 7 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
7.1 This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of law provisions and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
7.2 If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the courts at the Manufacturer's registered office shall have exclusive jurisdiction to the extent permitted by law.
